As our 2012 Best Companies to Work For demonstrate, keeping your employees happy and healthy is key to keeping your company on the road to success. In our annual Best Companies to Work For program, we searched the state looking for companies that treat their employees right. These companies encourage top performance with unique benefits, recognition programs, educational opportunities and more. The Selection Process
Each of the companies featured in the following pages went through a rigorous, two-part survey process. First, a company executive was required to answer questions related to the company’s benefits and policies. Second, a percentage of employees were surveyed about the company’s benefits and compensation, career development opportunities, culture and environment, and management processes. Responses were scored and the top companies from four categories—micro, small, medium and large—were named the 2012 Best Companies to Work For.
Neutron Interactive gives every employee the opportunity to excel. As one employee says, “Neutron creates an atmosphere that allows you to ‘create your own job,’ somewhat. Once you’re on board it’s up to you to let them know what your skill sets are and how/where you would like to apply them. They will let you go as far as your imagination can take you.”
The company also promotes a culture that enables team members to thrive on and off the job. Another employee explains, “Neutron is great at sending us to conferences we want to attend to enhance our personal development and recharge batteries.”
Neutron executives work to make the workday fun. The company provides free lunch every day, unlimited snacks and drinks, in-office yoga twice a week, and free health insurance. It recently completed a remodel that includes a slide and a ping-pong table. “I’ve never worked at a company that cares so much about culture…we are constantly having competitions as a company that promote networking and creativity.”
