Not everyone can say they love the company they work for, but that’s not a problem at the 35 companies we’re honoring in our annual Best Companies to Work For program. These companies strive to create an environment for employees that makes going to work something to look forward to every day. From traditional benefits like great health insurance plans and 401(k) offerings to more unique ones like daily free lunches and unlimited time off, these companies have a handle on what it means to value their employees. Join us as we celebrate the 2015 Best Companies to Work For.
How do we determine the Best Companies to Work For?
Any company with a Utah presence is encouraged to participate in the Best Companies to Work For program. The process involves two surveys: one for a company’s HR/corporate department to complete and the other for the company’s employees to complete. The surveys ask questions about benefits and compensation, growth opportunities, company culture, management, etc. Once the surveys have been completed, the responses are scored based on a point system and the highest-ranking organizations are deemed the Best Companies to Work For.

“It is an excellent environment for growth. There is personal attention to each employee's growth, constant feedback, and a very positive learning environment for employees who are curious and would like to grow with the firm.”
“There's not baby-sitting here. No grab for attention. People want others to succeed, and it's almost expected to have that kind of mentality here or you won't make it.”
“The company hires only those that fit well within the culture and management is quick to protect the culture. The culture is competitive in nature and employees are encouraged to support and help each other where appropriate. Performance is rewarded and the company attempts to mix things up by doing spontaneous things like last minute movies. … Employees are given resources to improve themselves personally, professionally, physically and spiritually.”

“Because everyone here is so aware that it is a team effort, there is always support if there is some kind of personal need or priority. From access to healthcare and insurance, to willingness to accept extra responsibilities so that somebody can get personal time, or even putting together care packages, this is a very supportive environment when one of our own is in need.”
“If you have the drive and motivation and talent, you can climb as fast as your abilities let you here. High performance is widely recognized and rewarded. Also, the development path is very clear. If you are a high performer and you produce good work and have high integrity, your career path is extremely clear and measurable.”
“I really feel like the management team of my company wants me to do well and grow not only as an employee but as an individual. I feel like I can express any concerns or ideas and they will listen to me and take any needed action as soon as possible. We've got a great set of leaders here!”
“It is an environment that encourages a ‘business owner’ mindset and rewards effort. It is also a company that values its people, going above and beyond to help them through challenges and also provide support during personal challenges. It is a learning environment and people are encouraged to take risks and grow as individuals and professionals.”
