Salt Lake City—The Buckner Company, one of the largest privately owned insurance agencies in Utah, has joined RiskProNet International, a Menlo Park, Calif.,-based association of leading independent insurance brokers in North America.
“We are excited to work with the RiskProNet association of brokers”
Founded in 1936 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, The Buckner Company has six offices in three states, Utah, Idaho and Colorado. The insurance brokerage provides all essential insurance services such as property and casualty coverage and employee benefits, with specialties in construction, trucking, technology, health care, retail and manufacturing and homeowners associations.
Current Chairman and CEO Terry H. Buckner is the grandson of the founder and has strong roots in the communities that the agency serves.
Through its alliances with brokers around the world, RiskProNet members can serve clients in more than 100 countries. Each member is an equal owner in the association, which gives the network the geographic diversity and shared knowledge base to serve clients with national, international or highly specialized exposures to risk.
"The Buckner Company brings a high level of expertise to our network and will provide additional depth in the western area,” said Gary Normington, RiskProNet executive director. “Its expertise in specific industry segments and long-tenured management staff is a great addition to our membership."
“We are excited to work with the RiskProNet association of brokers,” said Buckner. “These are among the top brokers in the nation and our affiliation allows us better opportunities to service our clients on a worldwide basis. The combined experience, knowledge and expertise of this group allow our clients to reap the benefits of a national organization while enjoying the service and relationships of their local representative. It is a great organization.”
