South Salt Lake — Officials from Hamlet Homes and the City of South Salt Lake broke ground on a new townhome community called Carlisle Place, located at the intersection of 700 West and Carlisle Ave. (3800 S). The community will consist of 57 three-story townhomes with brick-and-stucco exterior.
Mayor Cherie Wood joined Hamlet Homes founder Michael Brodsky and Gary Jones, COO of UTOPIA, in the groundbreaking ceremony. “Hamlet Homes is a valued partner in changing the face of the City of South Salt Lake and contributing to our ‘Promise South Salt Lake’ initiatives,” Wood said.
Each townhome includes a 90 percent-energy-efficient furnace and Energy Star appliances. Each townhome is also wired with UTOPIA’s fiber optic, high-speed Internet network. Carlisle’s first model home is expected to open in late November or early December.
Carlisle Place is Hamlet Homes’ 36th community since it was founded in 1994, and its third in South Salt Lake.
