LA Nails 1 is now the first location in American Fork to receive hot stone pedicures.
A hot stone pedicure is much like a normal pedicure with the addition of heated or hot stones that are applied to the foot and leg to give additional soothing and relaxation. Technicians are trained to heat the stones in a dry heater specifically developed for hot stone pedicures and to expertly rub them into the leg muscles.
While not a medical treatment, some claim hot stone are helpful for arthritis, depression, and anxiety. LA Nails 1 makes no medical claims, but says a hot stone pedicure is more relaxing and comforting than a standard pedicure.
Heated stones and lavender oils are included in the mixtures of the massage in order to promote deep relaxation and penetrate pleasant warmth into the muscle tissue. Heat from the stones gives warmth to the skin, allowing the absorption of therapeutic and moisturizing oils, while at the same time, preparing the body’s musculature so the trained professionals can work into the deeper muscle layers.
