South Salt Lake State of the City Address
South Salt Lake Mayor Cherie Wood presented the state of the city address to highlight accomplishments and the upcoming year’s goals, including investments in community development and revitalization projects, and economic investment in South Salt Lake.
Major economic development projects in the South Salt Lake include completing the streetcar from Central Pointe TRAX station to the Sugar House business district and building the infrastructure for the new downtown South Salt Lake. Community projects involve building Parley’s Trail and finishing phase one renovations at the Historic Scott School, Central Park Community Learning Center and Columbus Community Center.
South Salt Lake City is home to two strategic initiatives that have been nationally recognized for their outcomes.
