Ten Companies granted "Speaking on Business" Awards

Ten Utah companies were named Zions Bank’s “Speaking on Business” Top Businesses for 2012 and honored by Zions Bank President and CEO Scott Anderson at a luncheon Feb. 7 in Salt Lake City.

The honorees were: Armor Active of, Sandy; Dowdle Folk Art of Lindon; EK Ekcessories of Logan; JDH Group of Ogden;  Les Olson Company of Salt Lake City; OpsGear of North Salt Lake; Profire Energy of Lindon; RAM Company of St. George; SME Steel of West Jordan; and Stein Eriksen Lodge of Park City. All honorees were selected on the basis of innovation and success.

“These companies are the engine of economic growth because they create new jobs in our communities, and we are proud to honor them,” Anderson said.

Since its launch in 1997, the “Speaking on Business” radio program has highlighted some 4,000 businesses throughout Utah and Idaho. Listeners can hear about everything from a landscape design business to a beekeeper to an international ski supplier. The program airs weekdays on KSL 102.7 FM at 7:25 a.m., 11:47 a.m. and 5:25 p.m. along the Wasatch Front.
