About 100 Utah Food Producers met Wednesday at a conference of the state-sponsored Utah’s Own program, held at Rio Tinto Stadium. Attendees discussed topics such as keeping money in the Utah economy, creating unique and different products, low-cost marketing techniques, leadership and attracting good employees.
Product manufacturers including Miller Honey, FatBoy ice cream, Cornabys Raspberry Products, Lehi Roller Mills, Colosimos Sausage, Slide Ridge Honey Wine Vinegar and others attended.
“There is nothing more rewarding than businesses gathered together cooperating and supporting each other,” said Seth Winterton, deputy director for the state Department of Agriculture.
Utah’s Own assists Utah food producers by providing opportunities to spread the word about the products produced in the state.
