Wilson Electronics was named an International CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for the company’s latest 4G mobile cellular signal booster, the Sleek 4G.
The Sleek 4G boosts cellular signals inside a vehicle for customers whose devices operate on all U.S. carrier 4G networks (except WiMAX). The Sleek 4G will also amplify pre-existing signals, which includes all major carriers and their legacy voice and data services. This allows the user to enjoy a strong, reliable signal even where 4G-service is unavailable.
Benefits of the Sleek 4G include fewer dropped connections and no-service “dead zones,” faster data transfer rates and improved battery life for wireless devices. The device is sold as a plug-and-play kit and is now available.
“Wilson Electronics has been boosting mobile communications signals for more than a decade, and we’re committed to doing the same for new cellular technologies as they continue to develop,” said Jonathan Bacon, Wilson director of marketing. “Many outstanding technologies and products were nominated for International CES Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards. We‘re honored to be recognized by the panel of judges.”
Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 29 product categories.
The Innovations Design and Engineering Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the producer of the International CES, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.
The Innovations entries are judged based on the following criteria:
Products chosen as an Innovations honoree reflect innovative design and engineering of the entries. Examples may include the first time various technologies are combined in a single product or dramatic enhancements to previous product designs.
