D.C. deadlock dampens Utahns’ faith in 2013 by Paul Beebe The Salt Lake Tribune Published Jan 18, 2013 09:51PM MDT As Utah settles into 2013, signs are plentiful that this should be a good year for the state’s economy and the million-plus workers whose livelihoods depend on it. Job numbers are growing at rates commensurate with normal times. Unemployment is at a four-year low. Homebuilding is picking up again and home prices are showing a modest recovery.
